| As a resident you are guaranteed the right to understand and use these Rights. If for any reason you do not understand or you need help, you are are entitled to an explanation and/or an interpreter. | |||
| You have the Right to make all decisions regarding your well being. | |||
| You have the Right to actively participate in all decisions regarding your residency. | |||
| You have the Right to receive services without discrimination as to race, color, religion, sexual orientation or source of payment. | |||
| You have the Right to quiet and peaceful accommodations. To insure this, you have the right to insist that all other residents conduct themselves in accordance with the House Rules. | |||
| You have the Right to be treated with dignity and respect by all Benedict House staff, Board members, volunteers, agents and/or representatives. | |||
| You have the Right to privacy while you live here and confidentiality of all information and records regarding your residency. | |||
| You have the Right to receive all the information you need to give informed consent regarding your service plan, health care proxy and case management services. | |||
| You have the Right to receive considerate and respectful attention in a clean and safe environment. | |||
| You have the Right to receive wholesome and nutritious meals. | |||
| You have the Right to participate in designated activities, which may be provided from time to time by Benedict House staff, volunteers, and donors in addition to those designated as part of the program. | |||
| You have the Right to know the names and functions of any Benedict House staff and/or representatives. | |||
| You have a Right to receive emergency referral service if you need it. | |||
| You have the Right to designated "nonsmoking" areas. | |||
| You have the Right to terminate your residency according to the terms set forth in the residency agreement. | |||
| You have the Right to review your case management file. | |||
| You have the Right to participate in the Housing Association and have a voice in developing additional House Rules or Service Participation Rules. | |||
| You have the Right to complain without fear of reprisal about the services you are receiving. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can grieve to the Executive Director. The Executive Director will report all grievances to the Executive Committee. |
